Jaime Zukowski

Jaime Zukowski studied Anthropology, French and Spanish as an undergraduate. She spent three years in the Alsace region of France where she and husband Mark began their family. Returning west, Jaime immersed herself in classical theater in order to overcome shyness in speaking.

In the 1990’s she served as Mayor of Thousand Oaks, CA while raising their two sons. She earned a Master of Arts in English from the University of Colorado focusing on poetry and translation.

Jaime’s recurring column of creative non-fiction “At Home in Wine Country” was published by the Napa Register. Her poetry can be found in Canyon, River, Stone & Light, Blue Light Press 2021; Moonlight and Reflections, 2022 and Sonoma Valley Sonnet, 2023, Valley of the Moon Press. Jaime is delighted to be a member of Redwood Writers, the largest chapter of California Writers Club (established in 1909), and has been published in their 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Poetry Anthologies under the editorial leadership of the poet Les Bernstein.
